M.M. ESPLENDIDA was born at her astute breeders Austrian farm, the farm belonging to the Gold winning Olympian skier Mario Matt and his wonderful horse loving family. It's a labor of love for this tightly knit group.

Let's go back a bit a focus for a few seconds on the breeding of M.M. ESPLENDIDA and the very famous horses that sit right behind her. Her sire RFI Farid is a rich bay stallion whose siring abilities are amazing as he has champion sons and daughters all over

the world. RFI Farid represents the the *Mirage sire line that comes down to Farid from the great Bey Shah. Her dam is the exquisite M.M. Eluise, a direct daughter of WH Justice. Then we see legendary sites such as Fame VF and *El Shaklan and a tail

female line to the beautiful chestnut mare Espressa. It is a pedigree chocked full of first class breeding stock.

For Mario, letting go of Esplendida was no easy decision but she has contributed nicely to her Mother Stud not only through her show ring wins but through her daughters being retained at home.
